Sanovas relocates to San Rafael

Founded in 2009 and financed by a small group of private investors, Sanovas originally focused on the development of a next generation, fiber-optic catheter that can venture into the tiniest recesses of the body with a miniature camera and tools to remove tumors and deliver medicines. Sanovas’ fiber-optic catheter is small enough for use in the human lung to treat diseases such as lung cancer.

They are moving to San Rafael to accommodate an innovative expansion plan: “We’re about ready to break out right now,” company CEO Larry Gerrans said. “It’s an exciting time.” More
