QB3’s Quick Pitch Competition

QB3 held its first annual tech showcase, QB3 Quick Pitch, Tuesday night to a full house at Byers Auditorium. After a keynote from Corey Goodman of venBIO, 12 companies pitched their solutions to judges and the audience.

From an SF Business Times article prior to the event: “The 12 companies for the first workshop, selected from 29 applicants, cover therapeutics, medical devices, diagnostics and synthetic biology…But they have two things in common: They had worked with QB3’s Startup in a Box or UCSF’s Lean LaunchPad program to refine their business models — and they hadn’t raised cash beyond friends and family and government grants.”

Both the audience’s choice and the judges’ pick received $2,000 prizes.
